Private Lessons
Lesson Structure
All students enrolled in piano lessons are offered a well-rounded program of instruction, with training in repertoire, theory, musicianship, ear training, technique, and music history. The private lesson, however, is the core of instruction and will primarily focus on repertoire and technique, with the other study topics being covered. At the end of every lesson, students will receive practice assignments for at home review before the following lesson.
Practicing at Home
Practicing is essential if you want to progress. Having a good quality instrument is essential! If you don’t already own a piano, you have a few options. These include purchasing a piano, purchasing a full-length keyboard or renting an instrument.
Lesson Books and Supplies
Every student will be required to purchase their lessons books. The books will be available to purchase through Overall Piano or you may purchase them from a music store. Lesson books and materials will be selected by the instructor based upon thier level in piano.
